One of my favorite places for a weekend getaway, Circle S Ranch has a breathtaking property with all the relaxing vibes needed to unwind and recharge. The ranch is perfect for couples, friends' trips, weddings, and even corporate retreats. If countryside hideaways are your style, look no further than Circle S.
History Spanning 5 Generations
Beginning as a homestead in the 1860’s, the ranch has been in owner Mary’s family for 5 generations. For the last 25 years, guests have been welcomed to stay at the ranch and get a glimpse of what living in rural America is all about. The beautiful Kansas prairie speaks for itself, but its properties like Circle S Ranch that encompass the spirit of the Sunflower State.
Guest Rooms
The Country Inn has 12 unique rooms, each decorated and styled to its namesake. The Cowboy Room bids rustic accents and a “bucket” shower, while the second story Garden Room is adorned with a classic claw tub overlooking the property. On my recent trip I got a sneak peak of the newly remodeled Handicap Accessible room, Postrock, named after the Limestone rock found throughout Kansas prompting tourist attractions like Post Rock Country and the Post Rock Scenic Byway.
Amenities
Guests get access to the Hut Tub Silo which was built in the style of a traditional 1800’s silo. You can access the silo from all 3 floors, including a balcony on the second floor. For those looking to take their relaxation to the next level, there is a spa room on the 3rd floor. You can book a variety of services from Deep Tissue, Couples, and even Reiki Energy Work. You can see a full list of service here.
Circle S Ranch & Country Inn

The Great Room
The Great Room is the heart of the inn. This is where you’ll eat the full country breakfast included in your stay. You can also add on additional meals, such as a farm-to-table style dinner. When not in use during mealtimes, this area in the ultimate hangout area, with comfy couches, a double fireplace, and the only television in the Inn. Off the Great Room is the large wrap-around porch with stunning views of the property. The porch has a few seating areas with tables, but my favorite place to be is the rocking chairs. I can sit out there, cold one in hand, for hours on end rocking away to the sounds of the country.
Things To Do
There are plenty of places to enjoy and explore during your stay. You can relax by a fire pit, play some corn hole, walk to the pond, give belly scratches to one of the cuddly farm protectors, and even help with farm chores. Downtown Lawrence is just a hop and a skip away for those looking to do some shopping and Mass Street exploring. Just make sure you are back to the ranch in time to catch a sunset; you won’t regret it 😊.
