A camping permit is required in addition to the motor vehicle permit for overnight stays. All daily camping permits expire at 2:00 p.m. The prime site fee applies to designated sites from April 1 - to September 30. In addition to the fees below, there is a $3.00 per stay transaction fee for all overnight stays. All campers and camping units are limited to a stay of not more than 14 consecutive days although a 14-day extension may be obtained with written permission from the park manager. A five-day absence is required before returning to the park to camp again.

Most Kansas State Parks require that you purchase a $5 vehicle permit for daily visits except for - Mushroom Rock State Park, Prairie Spirit Trail State Park, and Flint Hills Trail State Park.
A Camping permit is required for overnight stays.

A hunting license is required for hunting.
Are dogs allowed at Kansas state parks?
Pets must always be restrained by a camper, cage, hand-held leash, or tethered chain no longer than 10 feet. They are not allowed on swimming beaches or swimming areas that are delineated by buoys or other markers or in public buildings or structures. Dogs participating in authorized activities or assisting the visually or hearing impaired are not subject to these restrictions.

Discounted Rate - $15.50 - whenever Kansas residents renew their annual vehicle registration. This price is only available when you go to renew your vehicle.
Standard Rate - $25 - whenever purchased at the State Park office.
State Park PassportWhat is a Kansas State Park Passport?
The permit – called a Kansas State Parks Passport – costs $15.50 when renewing your vehicle and $25.00 at the KDWP office. The Passport allows you to visit any State Park in Kansas without having to pay the $5 Daily Vehicle fee. The discounted price is only available to Kansas residents with a vehicle registered in the State.
