Cross Timbers State Park accounts for 1,075 acres in the northern reaches of the physiographic region known as the Cross Timbers, thick with hardwood trees and grasslands. The park provides access to the 2,800-acre Toronto Lake. The trails are also perfect for mountain biking!
The forested floodplains, surrounded by terraces of prairie and hills of oak savannah, showcase some of the most diverse flora and fauna in Kansas. Picturesque and shaded campsites have easy access to the lake and are available for full RV hookups and primitive camping. The park also has four modern cabins available for rent!

You’ll need to purchase a Vehicle Permit for daily visits or have a valid State Park Passport.
A Camping permit is required for overnight stays. 14-Day, Seasonal, and Annual Camping Passes are also available online as well as at the State Park Offices.

Are dogs allowed at Cross Timbers State Park?
Yes, all pets must always be restrained by a camper, cage, hand-held leash, or tethered chain no longer than 10 feet. They are not allowed on swimming beaches or swimming areas that are delineated by buoys or other markers or in public buildings or structures. Dogs participating in authorized activities or assisting the visually or hearing impaired are not subject to these restrictions.
