Kansas State Fishing Lakes

Places to Fish in Kansas

State Fishing Lakes in Kansas are perfect spots for those who prefer smaller and calmer waters. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) owns and operates roughly 40 state fishing lakes that range in size from 50-300 acres (depending on the water levels). Some of the state lakes also have cabins for rent, RV & camping hookups, and primitive camping near the lake! But the main thing to remember is that boating is allowed for fishing only.
