The Wichita-Sedgwick Co. Historical Museum is featuring a series of special programs, starting on March 14 and happening every day through March 17. Each program will have a special theme like “Keeper of the Plains” and “Celebrate Wichita.”

Delve into Wichita's rich aviation history at the Kansas Aviation Museum. The museum is also offering offering STEM Spring Break Camp, three days of fun learning about aviation careers through hands-on experiences.

Catch a Wichita Thunder hockey game on their home ice at INTRUST Bank Arena.

Find educational fun at Exploration Place, Wichita’s science center featuring hands-on permanent exhibits plus cool traveling exhibitions, such as this season’s Bricktopia and Skyscraper Science.

Explore the DIY plant bar and make your own terrarium at GROW Giesen Plant Shop.

Indulge your creativity by exploring galleries and participating in art activities scheduled at CityArtsMark ArtsUlrich Museum of Art and Wichita Art Museum, which recently renovated its dedicated area for kids, “Play.” Pop-up paintings and other crafts can be found at various local shops like The Loud Cicada as well.

Sneak in a little learning and a lot of fun at PBS Kansas’ Children Education & Discovery Center or at the Advanced Learning Center’s STEAM Learning Garden.

Catch a movie under the stars at one of only a handful of drive-in movie theatres in Kansas, Starlite Drive-In.

Explore the Kansas Wildlife Habitat for free at Riverside Park (daily feedings at noon with talks from the exhibit caretaker). Book an animal meet & greet or enjoy the animal encounters at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, re-opening for the regular season on Saturday, March 9. Walk amongst 40 life-size, moving, and realistic dinosaurs at Field Station: Dinosaurs, whose outdoor dinosaur trail and miniature golf course open for the 2024 season on March 9. The park will be featuring Spring Break Sneak Peek from March 9-17, which consists of special spring break activities and Jurassic Golf will be open until 8 p.m. each night.
