How much does it cost to register your agritourism business with the state?
There is NO cost to register your agritourism business with the State of Kansas.

What qualifies as Agritourism?
The Act deems agritourism activities as any activity which allows members of the public, for recreational, entertainment, or educational purposes, to view or enjoy rural activities, including, but not limited to, farming activities, ranching activities, or historic, cultural, or natural attractions.
By being registered with the Agritourism Program do I have to comply with county regulations?
Yes, by becoming a registered member of the Agritourism Program, you must still follow and comply with county laws and regulations.
Do I still need insurance even though I qualify for the limited liability protection?
Registering your agritourism business does not provide complete protection against all liability. As with any business venture that allows public access, you should have liability coverage, business owners are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to obtain liability insurance through an insurance provider of their choice.
How long is my registration with the Agritourism Program good for?
Your registration with the Agritourism Program is good for 5 years. Once the five years is up you can reregister your business with the program.
What is the purpose of the Agritourism Program?
The Kansas Agritourism Promotion Act was signed into law to promote and support the growth of the agritourism industry, rural tourism, and rural economic development in Kansas.
By being a part of the Agritourism Program does that qualify my land to be zoned agricultural?
Registration with the Agritourism Program has no determination of how your land is zoned. Work with your county jurisdiction to determine land zoning.
