Things to do in Osawatomie, Kansas

If you love American history, then you’ll love exploring Osawatomie. This town is rich in pre-Civil War stories and Victorian architecture. Visitors travel here daily from across the U.S. to learn about John Brown and the history of the American railroad at our three historical museums. A beautiful park, brand new pool, 18-hole golf course, lake, nature trail and outdoor drive-in movie theater are located here. A beautiful event center is scheduled to open this fall. Festivals include the John Brown Jamboree in June, Freedom Festival & Civil War Reenactment in September, Border War BBQ in October and Christmas Festival in November.
