Burlington is a city in Coffey County, located right off US-75 and the Neosho River, roughly 2 hours south of Topeka. Burlington is probably best known for its location between two of the state's larger lakes, the John Redmond Reservoir, and the Wolf Creek Reservoir. These two bodies of water provide visitors with countless outdoor activities. Those who choose to venture off towards John Redmond Reservoir, and continue westward towards Hartford, can also explore the beautiful Flint Hills Wildlife Refuge.
Although Burlington is an excellent destination for outdoor recreation, it also is home to an extensive array of murals. For those who enjoy Mexican food, be sure to visit local favorites like Cilantro's and Across the Borders. Of course, you also cannot forget to grab a drink at 11th Lane Roastery & Blessed Bees.
