Baldwin City is a small, historic town of 4,700 people, just a few miles south of Lawrence in Douglas County. Located along the Santa Fe trail route and within a few miles of the Black Jack Battlefield, Baldwin City was once a true gateway to the Old West. The city is also home to the ever more popular Maple Leaf Festival, as well as Baker University and a unique, well-preserved historic downtown - all on the Santa Fe Trail.
