Things to do in Waterville, Kansas

Although Waterville maintains its description by our forefathers as “Little Town in the Peaceful Valley”, this rural community remains peaceful, friendly and safe, but is sparked by a community of hardworking volunteers, a forward-striving business district, surrounded by a successful agricultural base. Visitors are introduced to its historical importance and the façade of turn-of- the-century Commercial Street buildings. Manufacturers, professional services and privately owned businesses offer an array of opportunities. Family fun and recreational opportunities abound with a park, swimming pool, playground, 9-hole grass green golf course, rail rides, river rafting and more. Annual celebrations include Nickel Day, 3rd of July, Halloween rail rides, Firemen’s BBQ, and Santa Soup Day. Located in southwest Marshall County on Highways 77 & 9, Waterville is a community looking back to appreciate its history, yet striding into the future adapting to change needed to remain a thriving and viable community.
